About Ioana

I work alongside children, adolescents, and young adults so each can find a space where they feel truly listened to, understood, and supported to move forward at their own pace.

My training is in educational psychology, school and vocational counseling, and speech therapy. I'm guided by the belief that emotional growth and school progress are tightly linked and can be supported with clarity and kindness.

Parents receive clear guidance for home, and children, adolescents, and young adults find a safe, balanced space tailored to their real needs.

Who I work with

Children (4–12)

I work with children who need emotional support, steady routines, or help developing language. I make sure parents and teachers are aligned so the child feels stable in every environment.

  • Emotional regulation through play, stories, and age-appropriate exercises
  • Routines that reduce conflict and increase cooperation
  • Gentle support after bullying or school difficulties

Adolescents

I offer adolescents a space where they can express thoughts and emotions without fear of judgment. There we work together on what's pressing—anxiety, relationships, social or school pressure—at their pace.

  • Understanding and managing intense emotions
  • Building healthy relationships and personal boundaries
  • Confidence, identity, and self-respect

Young adults

With young adults I focus on clarity and direction—across studies, career, or life's natural transitions. I accompany them as they understand their choices and the emotions behind them.

  • Exploring interests and real motivation
  • Decisions about college, jobs, or career changes
  • Communication, interviews, and advocating for their needs

Situations where I can help

Families usually come to me with a few big themes. Here they are, kept simple.

01

Language development & expression

I support children who have difficulty using their words or making themselves understood and help them develop communication skills so they can feel confident and understood at home and at school. We also work on letter recognition, sound pronunciation, and word practice, adapted to each child's pace.

Examples: letter recognition and writing · practicing sounds and words

02

Strong emotions & anxiety

I work with children and teens facing fear, worry, perfectionism, or anger and help them understand and calm their emotions, at their own pace.

Examples: separation anxiety · performance or social anxiety · intense emotions that feel hard to manage

03

School, peers & online life

I support children and teens going through school changes or feeling overwhelmed by peer dynamics and the pressure of online spaces.

Examples: bullying, exclusion, adapting to new classes · low school motivation · excessive gaming, screen time

04

Family, limits & cooperation

I help parents and children/teens ease home tension and build smoother relationships, with clear but gentle boundaries.

Examples: frequent conflicts and tough routines · oppositional moments and rule setting · finding a kind way to say "no"

05

Transitions, losses & tough moments

I stand beside children and young people during change or loss so they can process what happens without feeling alone with their emotions.

Examples: moves, school transitions · parents' divorce · emotional losses or high-impact events

06

Future & career for teens and young adults

For high schoolers and young adults I offer a clear space for questions about the future, college choices, and first career steps.

Examples: exploring interests and direction · college or job decisions · career transitions and first interviews

Speech practice app

Word Wheel

A visual Romanian exercise for practicing target sounds and sound groups

The app follows a common speech-practice pattern: choose a target sound, practice it in clear picture-backed words, and return to it through repetition. The child spins the wheel, while the adult guides pronunciation calmly and without pressure.

Set up the wheel before practice

The setup flow lets you choose whether the sound appears at the beginning of the word, inside the word, or in a mixed set. You can avoid interfering sounds, choose exact words, and set how many words appear on the wheel.

How to use it

  1. 01

Choose the letter or sound group you want to practice.

  2. 02

Configure the wheel for the sound position and the child’s current level.

  3. 03

Say the selected word and repeat the target sound in a short, clear, playful rhythm.

Designed as support for pronunciation practice at home, preschool, or in speech-language activities. It does not replace speech-language assessment or therapy.
